Rudino's Heritage

Rudino's - Wake Forest was one of my favorite places to go for food and to watch a game. But tonight that changed. I placed a pickup order for 5 items. When my wife went to pick it up they had forgotten a salad. When she got the order home we noticed that they missed something else. You had one job. Get it right! *Thank you for reaching out Rudino's. You actually made a wrong right.*

We frequent this place, and I think it’s time I write about the food inconsistencies. It’s hard to get something you keep coming back for when it’s different every time. Today was bad. I don’t know who was working in the kitchen but our sandwiches were so skimpy! In some parts there was bread on bread and no filling. There was barely any sauce on a sandwich that was supposed to be saucy, and the grinders were so dry. We had to ask for sides to moisten things up and of course were charged for that 🙃🙃 sometimes we go and everything is so good but today was a dud and it makes up keep questioning why are we still taking the chance if it’s going to be a “good day” at Rudinos or a “bad day.” Our waitress was incredible though! Always good service!

The service is awesome. When you first come in Lane takes special care of you to get you just the right table. Then Emily and Hannah serve you like you are the king and queen. I ate the Sicilian sandwich three days ago and could not get it out of my mind and had to come back and get another one. Their food is so good it is addictive. I have not eaten anything that wasn't really delicious. I highly recommend them for lunch or supper.

We've been here in the past and had a solid experience (we enjoy sitting outside when the weather agrees). This visit, however, a weekday early evening, was a mess. Food: we ordered the bacon cheese fries which were very good. Lots of fries! Then, we both ordered burgers, both done medium. Now I have this little issue when you ask me how I want something done, that's kind of how it should come out, at least within a range. One burger came out well-done (no pink at all), and the other burger came out rare (cool in the middle-I'm posting a photo). Service: I'm not sure why but our server couldn't have been more disinterested in serving us. She never checked on us (and no, she wasn't busy, she was hanging out at the far side of the bar!). Second time coming here and absolutely love it this place! Both times food was amazing! The staff is super nice, friendly and attentive! Our new local spot!
