Rating: 5/10 Ruby Slipper was unfortunately a pretty disappointing experience. I would only recommend it if you have just landed at the airport and do not have time to search for something better. To start, the beignets were mid, which is about what you would expect from a diner-style spot. They seem to be on the menu because of the area’s reputation, but you can tell locals are not lining up to order them. The highlight of the meal was the French toast bites. Even though they came out lukewarm, the flavor and texture were solid and easily the best thing we tried. The hot honey chicken biscuit came in second. The biscuit itself was cooked well and the honey was nicely balanced, but there was no real heat. The chicken breast was overcooked, almost as if the oil temperature was too high, lea

came here before— service always exceptional! it just so happens to be my birthday week and i came back in town from dallas & wanted some brunch to celebrate. i went to another place & they were so rude. came back to ruby’s, wait went FAST! people at the door were so sweet and suggestive to the menu. and my server ronnie was FANTASTIC. i’m a server myself and he was such a joy and a breath of fresh air. i’m so grateful we had him he’s so funny and kind ! new brunch spot every time i come home to the boot 🩷 and food was AMAZING

We waited 1 hour+ for our food. Our waitress was nice, but the kitchen needs to get it together. After waiting nearly an hour, our waitress told us "there were a few tickets in front us, I wouldn't blame you if you want to leave" basically seemed like they were trying to clear tickets by seeing if anyone wanted to leave. On top of this, they do not know how to cook a poached egg. I do not recommend getting any of the Benedict's. My first two poached eggs were overcooked with set yolks. I asked for additional poached egg and they were also overcooked. No runny yolks :( Lastly, I was served unwashed spinach that literally had mud on it. If I knew how, I would let the health inspector know they need to come visit here. If you were wondering if they have improved since the last one star rev

I think I’ve officially visited all of the Ruby Slipper locations, and I can honestly say I love every one of them. This spot has a great location right off Vets and offers the same fantastic menu options I’ve come to enjoy. On our recent visit, we ordered the Spanish Omelette and the Country Breakfast—both arrived quickly and absolutely filled us up. I highly recommend this Ruby Slipper!

I came late on a Saturday morning and was promptly seated. I got the bacon bite things as an appetizer and let me tell you, it was delicious. I forgot to snap a picture of the biscuits and gravy, but it was great. I got a plain biscuit and fried green tomatoes to go and they were good. Reasonable prices. It can get busy though!
