I recently visited this place for lunch, and it was authentic Nepali cuisine at its best. Everything—from the ambiance to the service—was excellent. As a New York resident, I’ve honestly never had really good buff momo before, but this place absolutely nailed it. My personal recommendations are the buff sukuti, buff chowmein, buff momo, and buff choila—each dish was full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The food was so good that I even ordered some to-go for our road trip! Overall, it was truly the best experience. Highly recommend to anyone craving authentic Nepali flavors!

Royal Durbar Kitchen is a must-visit if you love authentic Nepali food. I recently visited and absolutely loved everything I tried. The thali set was perfectly balanced and full of traditional flavors, the sel roti tasted just like homemade, and the wild boar, buff momo, sukuti, and bara were all incredibly flavorful and well-cooked. Every single item was fabulous and truly reminded me of authentic Nepali taste. Great food, great quality, and a place I’d highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience real Nepali cuisine. My wife is from Nepal and really enjoys the menu here. My favorites are the garlic shrimp appetizer and chicken chowmein entrée, my wife likes the buf momos appetizer and the goat dishes. We have dined in at least 6 or 7 times. The staff is great and the menu is reasonably priced. The decor looks like Nepali style, really cool. The cocktails are tasty as well. Definitely would recommend.

Had an excellent dining experience at this Nepali restaurant. The food was incredibly flavorful and truly authentic—each dish reminded me of home in Nepal. From the perfectly seasoned sukuti and choila to the momo and bhutten set, everything was fresh, well-prepared, and deeply satisfying.The chowmin was smoked flavored same like in the bhatti in Nepal which makes me more hungered. The ambience is warm and welcoming, making you genuinely feel like you’re enjoying a meal back in Nepal. On top of that, the service was attentive, polite, and professional, which made the experience even better. Overall, a very satisfying meal with great food, great service, and a genuine Nepali touch. Royal Dunbar Kitchen is a hidden gem for authentic Nepalese cuisine in the Rockville area. I’ve been there several times, and every visit has been consistently delicious. I’ve tried a variety of dishes, and the vegetarian options especially stand out. The vegetable momos are fresh and flavorful, and both the vegetable fried rice and vegetable chow mein are well-seasoned and satisfying—honestly even better than some of the Nepalese restaurants I’ve tried in Nepal. The Mustang aloo is somewhat like American-style potatoes but not deep-fried; instead, it’s well-seasoned and very close to the flavor I remember from Nepal.
