Route 6 Cafe & Lounge

Route 6 in Vail is an absolute gem! As someone who needs to eat gluten free, this place made my whole trip. They have incredible gluten free options! Gfree buns, wings, fried calamari and shrimp, fish and chips—all made in a dedicated gluten free fryer so there’s no worry about cross contamination. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We left full, happy, and already talking about our next visit. Highly recommend!

Road trip stop. You walk in and dining seats are to the left, bar seating to the right. We chose to dine. Spouse ordered the salmon salad and liked it. I went with the 8 oz. Strip lunch special with side salad. It was tasty but very tough. I didn't touch the "salad" with crescent cucumbers (?) among onion, tomato strips, and other. Besides this, the price on the menu is not what we were charged. Not recommended, not going back.

Good little stop West of Vail. Big bar area with pool tables, also plenty of dining seating not in the bar for families. We came here with 7 people and everyone liked their food. My son did order the kids pasta and it was the smallest little bowl of pasta I have ever seen. He said it was good but was definitely still hungry and he isn't that big of an eater. Kids burger on the other hand was almost an adult sized serving. We would definitely come back another time.

Had a great lunch here! The gluten free selection such better than many of the places locally. We had the fish and chips. Hubby said you could not tell it was gluten free. Juicy and flavorful!

We enjoyed it! The food was delicious and the price is right! We found other restaurants in the area pricey. During our visit, it was moderately busy. The food does take a little time, so I would expect to wait some. It's not fast food. All the employees were hustling trying to get it done. Staff was friendly. I saw our waiter check on our order in the kitchen several times. The venison chili bowl was yummy. I enjoyed the chicken and waffles. Coffee was perfect. Half the building is a nightlife bar with a stage and pool tables. A fancy bar separates the restaurant and bar, so it took me a while to even see the other side past the bar. Would be interesting to check out. Also, a local neighbor recommended the owner as a stand up guy! Will return!
