ROPPONGI Japanese Steak & Sushi

This hibachi and sushi spot is a total vibe and definitely worth the visit. 🍣 The sushi was incredibly fresh and low-key the star of the show, while the hibachi was flavorful and cooked to perfection. 🔥 On top of the food being elite, the atmosphere was great and made the whole experience even better. ✨ It’s rare to find a place that hits this hard at both the grill and the sushi bar. 🍱

Was an amazing experience. The server was great and the hibachi chef was amazing and involved all 10 people in our party. Was a bit expensive but well worth yhe experience. Had the red bull sushi 🔥and chicken teryiaki. It was my daughters bday and was a great night. The atmosphere was great!!!

It was ok. Presentation was definitely the best part of the experience. The hibachi cook makes it so fun. The food itself was ok. Fried rice was probably the best. Everything else. Meh. All the same flavor. A little salty because everything is mixed with soy sauce. Fried calamari app was so overfried it was rock hard. Service was very slow. And the server didn't really check on us.

I love Japanese cuisine and I really wanted to like this place. Our waitress was nice. The atmosphere was great. The food was horrible. We both got bento boxes and a Roppongi roll. The sushi roll was decent, the bento boxes were disgusting. I got the Sukiyaki and my wife got steak. The servings were small, the meat was flavorless and gray, it tasted borderline spoiled. Nothing had flavor. 56 dollars for 2 people for lunch was ridiculous. The only thing we finished was the sushi roll. If the prices were lower, I would have given them more grace, but I expect quality when I am paying that much for so little food. Wasabi Evansville is half the price and the food is much better quality. I would rather microwave a steak from Dollar Tree than eat here again.

What can I say, we enjoy this place so much we’re willing to drive six hours to eat here. We came across this place about five years ago and every time we come through Evansville IN, it’s a “must stop” place. We had the basic soup and salad. Probably the highlight was the Red Bull roll. Truly a game changer for the roll lineup. Outstanding flavor and well worth the price. For the main course we chose the Korean BBQ and Pork Bulgogi. Both meals were served with your choice of steamed or fried rice, hibachi vegetables and the Bulgogi did have some noodles with it. Both plates were phenomenal. Please stop in and enjoy yourself. The parking lot fills up quickly.
