Rogers and Brown House Bed & Breakfast

My sister and I spent five nights here and loved it. Frank and Johanne are intelligent, delightful, interesting and accomodating hosts. The other guests we met at our breakfasts were unfailingly the same. These comfortable quarters and wonderful companions provided a sanity-saving counterpoint to the unpleasant task we had each day of cleaning and organizing our disabled brother's apartment and life. No standard motel could have done this--we actually tried this on our last visit. The breakfasts are healthful and delicious. They accommodated my gluten- and milk-free diet in grand style. The only pseudo-complaint I can think of is that I prefer a well-lit environment...brighter than most people like. But that would be inconsistent with the perfect early-American motif of the house and furni

We were welcomed as soon as we pulled in. Frank is the best host anyone could ask for. He showed us around the B&B and was happy to tell us the history of the house and the town of Ipswich. He made us feel at home and morning breakfast was fabulous. Johann was gracious and also knew the history of the town. The room was spacious and comfortable. Thank You Frank & Johann for a wonderful vacation!!

I booked my stay just the night before a trip to Ipswich for a symposium at a nearby school. I chose it for the convenience and just to try something different because I travel a lot on business and typically stay at the Westin or something like that. So I wasn't sure what to expect and was completely blown away by the how welcoming Frank and Johanne were, how wonderful the accommodations were (beautiful room, quiet, very comfortable) and just how charming the entire experience was. They both went out of his way to make my stay great, from sitting in their living room and chatting, to recommending their favorite restaurants, to taking me to Crane's beach and showing me around town. First off, Frank is amazing! He welcomed us, gave us a tour of the property, and made us feel like we were family. The room was cozy, and perfect for a one night stay. Breakfast was incredible. My eggs were cooked perfect, the fruit was so fresh, and his special fruit juice concoction is on my to make list tomorrow morning. His wife’s shop next door is fantastic. A must visit. And talk to both of them. They are amazing people and actually miss them. Hope to visit again soon.

Had a wonderful stay in this cozy home decorated in period pieces from early America. Our host and hostess made us feel as though we were family. The room was lovely, the bed comfortable and the breakfast delicious. It was a delightful stay and the area of Ipswich is beautiful. There is a gift shop/antique store on the premises run by the couple which has beautiful and unique items for sale.
