Love the vibe, decor, and view! Drinks amazing 🤩 Ordered the grilled octopus. Not good, rubbery. It did look good but was rubbery, It should be tender. Only the vibe, decor and view will make me come back.
The renovations are lovely. The bar area is beautiful with a nice view. Our bartender was great. However, the bar snacks were woefully inadequate. It was inexpensive processed crackers rather than some nice roasted nuts or something elevated to match the ambience. Certainly not conducive to enticing one to stay for a second or third drink
This was my wife and I's first visit since the reopening. The restaurant is very different from the one we use to call "The Rotten Meal"! The atmosphere is very different and frankly I didn't care for it. It was very plain with no personality. The waitress was pleasant and attentive, but the food was very disappointing. My wife ordered the crab bisque and it was hardly edible due to the amount of flour? in the dish and it had after taste to it that was awful and she could eat it. She ordered Short Rib Pappardelle which she said was pretty good. I ordered the Steamers with local shrimp in a spicy tomato sauce. The sauce was not spicy at all and looked and tasted like watered-down Campbell's tomato soup. While we did not enjoy the experience, it could be due to growing pains and we
The 1936 venue was the perfect place for my daughter’s small wedding reception. Robin and the entire staff were efficient, helpful and supportive. I’ve been to many events over the years, but the food here was excellent! Not the usual reception fare. Highly recommend for a special occasion!!
Callie was a pleasure to have as our server. Four of us got together. We wanted to try out the new restaurant. We've wanted an upscale restaurant and were ready to try it. We were disappointed in the menu selections. There is a house salad, but no other dressings except two types of vinaigrette. There was not even ranch dressing. We all believe that ranch dressing is one of the number one dressings that people request and found it unusual that it was not at the restaurant. We ordered drinks. Almost as soon as they arrived the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the building. All of us felt that there needed to be more of a variety of menu items. Unfortunately, we felt that the domino effect of everything made us go to another establishment for dinner.
