Rocking MJ Ranch B & B

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Jo's ranch very much. The accommodations were very comfortable, clean, quiet and with a lot of Texas charisma. The ranch is huge and very pretty, and we specially enjoyed seeing the longhorns (Tex and Rex), the goats and the dog Oreo. Jo is a very nice lady who makes you feel welcomed like family - thank you for the Pumpkin cake! The location is very good - close to Canyon Lake, good eateries, Gruene TX, New Braunsfels (we went to the Wurstfest which was a lot of fun), and the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch (a must see drive-thru Safari). There's a lot to see and do at the MJ Ranch!

I have stayed here several times over the last couple of years. Rocking MJ Ranch is my first phone call when I'm headed to New Braunfels area. This is a family owned B&B and Jo's hospitality is the best you can experience. She works hard to keep the grounds immaculate and provides you with everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay. This time we had squash bread with squash hand picked from her garden. Yummy! We floated the river a couple of times and we were always anxious to get back to our quiet sanctuary. We spent most of our time outside grilling, relaxing in the hot tub and morning coffee on the front porch watching the wildlife. This place is simply amazing! Not only is it super clean, comfy, quiet, and relaxing but the views, wildlife, and hospitality will blow you away!! If I could could give it more stars I would. Jo is amazing. She greeted us and instantly made us feel right at home with baked goods and the history of the ranch. It's close to everything and although you feel isolated and in the middle of nowhere while on the ranch the joys of the city life are a short drive away. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. My husband and I just spent the weekend at the Rockin' MJ Ranch in Canyon Lake, Texas. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to stay that is just a short drive from many area attractions, this is the place for you. Jo is the most delightful lady and a wonderful host. She greeted us with homemade squash bread and lots of history about the ranch. There are two guestrooms with king size beds, private baths, and a futon if you need extra sleeping space. A shared kitchen separates the two rooms and is equipped with everything you need - microwave, coffee pot, sink, toaster, full sized refrigerater/freezer stocked with drinks, snacks and breakfast foods. If you are looking for a great place to stay, this is it. The cabin is great hide a way to stay in. You will be amazed at the wildlife you can see while sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch. Whitetail deer roaming through the trees, the goats and longhorn cattle grazing while rocking the afternoon away. Sitting in the hot tub gets you so relaxed, you just do not what to get out. Ms. Jo is the sweetest lady that you would want to meet. She takes the time to tell you the story of the ranch and all the things that you can do while you are there. She makes sure that you have everything you need to make you stay one to remember. Do not let this gem of a place to stay pass you by if you are in the area.
