Emaculant pool and so fun for kids!! It was nice to have room to sit in the shade. Such a hot day and the water was refreshing. Food prices are reasonable. The only thing is the bathroom smell heavily of urine and needs more care
We enjoy coming here. I prefer it over my HOA small little pool. Pool is always clean, lifeguards are always checking the water. they’re all very nice. The 3 and half feet pool area has been great teaching my son to swim. Pool does get crowded with camp kids and that’s ok. It’s people who throw hard footballs that get quite annoying really fast. I wish they would enforce a rule about this. Especially when they’re taking up the whole pool to throw a ball. There’s plenty of green space in Roanoke to toss a football. Edit- so now that we are coming to the end of the season. We have gotten to the pool early and the pool was not clean. Dirt is visible on the pool floor. So not sure what has happened. But please keep up with the cleaning next year. We love coming here, but recently it’s been d
The pool is great, however this has got to be the laziest group of city employees I have ever seen. They ALL hide in their little office on their phones, no one is outside to greet you. Then come to find out if you want a snack/ drink they open up the door to the concession stand and get you items, but it’s “too hot” to have someone stay in there, you would have Zero idea they even had snacks unless you call or saw someone else. A great way to help people enjoy their time and the city to make money but these kids can’t be bothered to man their stations. It was a beautiful afternoon and no reason to hide in the AC, if you want to be in AC you don’t need to work at the pool.
Ran down, smelly, horrible staff, and THE MOST DISGUSTING BATHROOM/SHOWER I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE ! I apologize for the graphic, seemingly unnecessary picture but I deemed it necessary due to the fact the entire bathroom had obviously been in this state for a good while. Not a (they just weren't aware or didn't have time to clean it) type of vibe. I won't be back unless it's the last pool open in the world.
For residents it's 2 dollars a person for taller than 42" for non residents its 6 dollars a person. For people shorter than 42" it's free. There's a little area for kids. The deepest it goes is 4'6". Overall great place to have a fun day.
