Riverview Cafe

Stopped for lunch while traveling through town. This place offers fast friendly service in a beautiful setting. I had a Smoke on the Water grilled cheese and it was delicious!!! The cafe is in the back overlooking the Roanoke River and has a shop up front. Parking was easy along the street. I highly recommend Riverview cafe!!!

I was in town today as part of my quest to visit all 100 counties in North Carolina, and I stopped in to take a snack back with me to my hotel. You enter from the street through the artisan Market which has a lot of really cute items before you get to the actual cafe in the back. And that's where you get the name of the cafe because the river view is amazing! There was a lot of comfy seating and a lot of great options for snacks or full meals. I opted for an unsweet tea that was brewed a little bit strong but it was still good. I also picked up a molasses cookie and a recommended pecan pie bar. The pecan pie bar was okay. But I'm not a huge fan of pecan pie. The molasses cookie? AMAZING. I would definitely stop into this location again if I was in the area. The staff was really great a

What a gem this find was. The Riverview cafe was pleasing from beginning to end. We travel a lot and wish there were more cafes like this one. Meticulously clean, friendly staff, and delicious food. They even welcomed our pup with smiles. We enjoyed the grilled French dip(special of the day) and the grilled ham and cheese. The sandwiches were grilled just right, bread still slightly soft on the inside and nice toast on the exterior. The deli meats and cheese used seemed high quality. The owners walk around making sure everything is satisfactory and that the cafe remains clean. During our visit they had low key live music which was enjoyable. The front of the cafe has a little artisan market. I loved to see them supporting local craters as well as the local senior center crafters. I highly

This place is under new management and I can't wait to see what they really do with the place once they get their bearings. The menu is the same as before, with a few additions, and delicious as ever. The view is unbeatable, and the coffee is good and strong. My go to is always the pimento sandwich and I was not disappointed.

Great place for lunch. Food is outstanding. Hamlet sandwich with pasta salad. View is beautiful overlooking the river. Highly recommend this hidden gem.
