Riverboat Lounge

Cool place, but the bartenders are clearly amateurs. Old fashioned was one part bourbon one part simple. Tom Collins was good. But DO NOT get the smokey wonderland. It literally reminds you of sitting in the jiffy lube. Smell and taste.

There was great live music during our visit. We got a coupon for buy one get one free drinks while staying at the Julien. The option to sit outside on the balcony was really nice as well. We weren’t in the mood for a large dinner so a charcuterie board and fried pickles were a good option.

$23 for a pour of Eagle Rare was unheard of prior to my visit since the bottle retails for about $50. Thanks Riverboat for setting a new precedent... Bartenders were popular amongst the patrons. Bar seating is a little small but offers a few TVs. Lots of seating elsewhere in the lounge, including a back terrace. Seems like a good place to start or end your night. Occasionally has live music but for whatever reason, not on the Saturday night I visited.

We were there on a busy Saturday night. Carl B is a bomb bartender. He is a master mixologist and creates amazing drinks. Everything we had was fun, inventive and spot on. Never burnt and never too light, just right!

Was at a wedding and the creepy door guy kicked out my 35 year old friends because they were in dresses and didn’t have ID on them. We were at the wedding upstairs and just wanted a shot because it was only wine and beer at the wedding. It was on June 21st. The guy was missing teeth. I loved the Julian but you guys need to get rid of that creep
