River Grove Public Library

My boyfriend and I applied for our passports here. It was quiet and quick! Jean was such a sweet woman who helped make the process as quick and easy as possible. Would recommend to anyone needing a passport in the area to go here!

I've been going to the River Grove library now for 31 years! Throughout the years the River Grove library ends and staff have provided much help, much laughter and great activities for the tots! Even under quarantine the River Grove librarians take the time and effort to quarantine their books to keep their patrons safe for that I'm very grateful! Thank you for being you and being there for all River groveians

one of the smallest libraries i have ever visited! they did have the book I wanted so it made the trip worthwhile and the people behind the counter are very nice and helpful!

The library board has been in disarray for years. They own the lot across the street and another on Center - both intended as sites for a new building. (Both have signs marking them as property of the RG Library). I have lived in River Grove since 1982 and throughout my childhood (I was and continue to be a voracious reader) I would simply ride my bike west on Grand to visit Franklin Park's far superior facility. Not much has changed since the 80s: same tiny building, same limited selection of materials. Schiller Park and Elmwood Park have large, modern facilities - RG has never found a way to follow suit. Too bad - I'll keep going to FP.

The people working there are very helpful and nice. I love that I can check out dvds and movies for my daughter. Great kid section in the library as well.
