Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

came at 10:54pm on a friday and they literally closed the blinds on me and my friend in our face then turned lights off. They close at 11:00 pm. i understand it’s close to closing time but closing the blinds in our face was appalling considering there was more than 5 minuets till closing and it happened to the guy that was next to us aswell so there were more than 2 customers present.

During a recent visit on August 29th 2025, my friend collapsed into my arms as we were ordering and clearly needed emergency help. I was frantic, screaming and asking staff repeatedly if they had called 911. Nobody answered me. Another customer behind me said he was calling because staff was not responding to me as I was screaming for help. Eventually I saw a staff member on the phone, but instead of reassuring me, she asked while she was on the phone with 911 “is this a medical emergency?” Unbelievable. In that moment, it felt like staff froze and failed to communicate. I was left unsure if anyone had actually called for help, which made the situation even scarier and more chaotic. The girls serving were very polite and explained the concrete which was awesome with Reese, I had the frozen Carmel coffee which was also very good, it was quite expensive, 14$ for two small products but the quality was there.

Always great service. The young ladies are always lovely, and the ice flavors are amazing. I LOVE the Chocolate cover strawberry ice.

I love Rita’s! I got the coconut, chocolate fudge and s’mores. All together in a large cup and it was so good! Can’t wait to go back and the customers service was amazing!
