Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Was not impressed at all. The place closes the inside apparently at 7 so the girl at the counter was a little rude about it, she was clearly ready to go home even though they were set to still be open for another hour. Then they only had 3 flavors, one was sugar free so really only 2. I ended up getting the cherry one with ice cream and it had a very weird flavor as well as after taste. I should've just got the plain soft serve ice cream. I am used to going to Jeremiahs Italian Ice down south and thought Rita's would be comparable but this place pales in comparison. Very disappointing. :(

We went to celebrate my birthday, but was closed. It was supposed to open at 2, but no lights on, and no one there. So disappointed. Love the milkshake I got a month ago, but the girl server was sullen, and not nice at all.

Do NOT go to this location. Stopped in as 1st timers. Ordered 2 Large Wild Cherry/Key Lime Italian Ice as they were out of almost everything. While the guy with the glasses and twists in his hair was packing our cups with Key Lime. The young lady working there grabbed the scooper from him and started helping the man behind us. I said "That was rude we were there 1st so I didn't want anything at that point:" My Sister was going to go ahead and buy both of them. Then the young man said "What was rude was how you talked to the young lady because he told her she could put the man in front of us" At that point we decided not to buy anything and walked out. He stuck his head and middle finger out the drive thru window and yelled as we walked to our car. What an experience.

Let me be the first to say that im not sure if the owner in Farmington Hills has anything to do with (Lathrup Village) but the Italian ice at the Lathrup Village locations doesnt taste the same as the Farmington location. Every time that I go for my favorite (Swedish Fish) its unflavorful. For some reasons, there's taste as if I put a cup of juice in the freezer myself. The texture and taste is terrible. I will forever be a customer at the Farmington location. Its something they aren't doing right. 😒

Stopped by to get some Italian ice during their open hours (11am). Place wasn't even open. Waited a few more minutes and still nothing. Based on the previous reviews, im not sure this place is ever really open. Do t waste your time trying this place if there is something closer or at the very least more reliable. 0/5 stars
