Jay Birds Bar & Grille

Tried Jay Birds Bar & Grille for the first time last week for lunch. We went there for turkey chops because hubby had a craving for it. Unfortunately, they didn't have any. So we got the catfish fried and blackened with green beans and potatoes au gratin. We also had a ribeye with mixed veggies and mash potatoes. We ordered whole chicken wings as an appetizer. The catfish was very tasty and not too fishy. The fried piece was fried to perfection and was lightly seasoned. The blackened piece was highly seasoned with Cajun seasonings and cooked perfectly as well. The fish was awesome, and I really enjoyed it with the sides. The ribeye was asked to be cooked medium. With it being a thin cut, it was cooked correctly. You see the grilled markings. The wings were fried good and were lightly seaso

Wow ! This was an unexpected experience at a great restaurant. The food was fantastic. I had the lamb chops and they were the best chops that I have ever eaten. Sides were very tasty as well. Just a little loud because a young lady was celebrating her 100th birthday - so I suppose that was justified.

It looks like this site finally has a concept that works. A small bar restaurant that's popular with "grown folk". Drinks are good and food surprisingly so. I had a Margarita ( no salt rim 😔) along with wings and salmon sliders. The salmon wasn't the usual hard &over cooked you get and the wings were hot. Nothing new maybe but well done. I see why the lot is usually full now.

Jay birds is a little gym right on Southfield road. The food looked amazing The fish and Chicken I will try it the next time but the drinks were great the music was off the chain and it's such a laid-back atmosphere everybody had such a good time it's a beautiful date night and just a fun place to go

A fabulous time was head, my sister, cousins, and I went to celebrate one of our birthdays and Roscoe, our server set the night off. He was attentive, he was kind. He was funny, and made the experience even more wonderful. The food was good, portions sizes on point and everything everyone had tasted great! I enjoyed the blackened salmon with the Asian sauce on the side. And that was delish, the blended vegetables melted my heart. I'm a vegetable girl, the lemon cheesecake was lemoning, and the drinks went down nicely. I even ordered food to go. We will definitely, be going back. If a great date night spot as well nice and quaint, but beware not a lot of parking so not for big parties. Sorry, no pics just truly enjoyed the moment, the company and the food.
