Rise-N-Shine Cafe

Today was my first time visiting this delightful gem of a restaurant. Our New Years day PA Dutch meal of sauerkraut, wonderful shredded pork done to perfection, creamy whipped mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots and beans also came with Pumpkin Custard pie and drinks. It was all you could eat for a most reasonable price. They have of course an array of other daily delicious PA Dutch foods. In addition to the home-cooked food the family was a delight, making us feel at home with them. We were so impressed that we purchased more food to take home to share with good friends. Although we live 1 hour and 10 minutes away, I can assure you that we hope to return often. Their family was welcoming and interested in learning more about us. Cute and quaint cafe. Standard but good breakfast selection. Order at counter and friendly staff deliver to your table. Homemade bread for toast was delicious. Eggs fresh and hot. Homefries a bit oily and over seasoned. Ice cream looked good and we'll be back.

Food was ready on time. Friendly atmosphere and service. Food was GREAT! we had cheesteak omelets and hash brown potatoes. Only complaint is we've ordered thisc3 times and every time it never comes with sauce. It says it on the menu and it's always ordered with sauce, but unfortunately we never get sauce.

A quiet and cozy breakfast. Cute ambiance. Had the peppermint hot chocolate, which was really good. Veggie omelet was well-cooked and full of veggies, staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Will return here!
