Kauffman's Bar-B-Que Restaurant

A delightful surprise from start to finish. I visited Kauffman’s for the first time and left genuinely impressed. I had the large chicken platter. The prices are reasonable. We played mini golf after early dinner and then went back for ice cream. It got busy. Best time was Sunday around 3pm.

Living in Florida now but ever time I’m back home we come here. Honestly best ever rotisserie chicken ANYWHERE! Love the potato filling! Great salad bar, ice cream and mini golf! What’s not to like!

Very family oriented you can tell as soon as you walk through the door that this is gonna be good this was our first visit we will be back! Get the 1/2 chicken baked potato peanut butter pie you can’t go wrong with that decision

Not exactly sure what I expected but found this place much better. Beautiful drive on rural roads leading to a complex that is well maintained and very nice. When entering it took us a bit to figure out the method to dine in...past an inside "order to go" counter, through a pair of doors, turn left and you are in a cafeteria line! Grab some silverware, tray and napkins - read the menu mounted above and behind the counter and order when asked. Pay at the register (just like in school) and have a seat...there are plenty. Each plater comes with a side and a salad bar trip. The salad bar is small but there are many choices and its tidy and clean. Staff is very friendly except the cashier was not as friendly. Everything was clean. Gave it a 4 star only because for a BBQ restaurant I would expect more BBQ. Chicken is one of the main things on their menu and it is not BBQ chicken. Tasted like chicken I make at home. So it was disappointing. The portion you get is worth the money. They have mini golf here that is inexpensive. Ice cream here looks amazing and there was a line for the icecream. I wouldnt come back for the dine in, but would come back to try the ice cream.
