Ridge View BBQ

My husband and I have never eaten here but were excited to try because of their good ratings. We ordered ramp burgers, porky cheese fries and banana pudding (no picture). The banana pudding was delicious. I wish I had ordered more. Porky cheese fries were a large portion and plenty of pork on top. Very good flavor. The ramp burger is what we were looking forward to the most but was underwhelming. The burger was very dry and partially burnt. The ramp spread on the burger had a somewhat dry, pasty texture to it. I wanted to love this burger, but did not. We will definitely try this place again, but will pass on the ramp burger.

Very friendly staff and the food came out quick and fresh. I got the pulled pork sandwich which was great. My friend got the brisket sandwhich, which he said was very good. I also liked the cole slaw, which I often don't like at other places. I will go back for more!

I came for the wild hog sandwich, and I left with the fries, as good or better than McDonald’s fries, but each one a different size than the next. I like variety but when it comes to barbecue, Ridgeview is the place. Say hi to Carrie. I’m coming back for the Rant burger.

The sides were the strongest feature of our meal (French fries, baked beans, and green beans). But the BBQ sauce for the brisket was very good, too. We were just traveling through, so we may be spoiled by the offerings of Ohio, Georgia, and NC (aka, I don't think WV is "known" for BBQ), but it filled a need for sustenance.

Whenever I call to place a to go order, the people are pleasant and polite. The food is well prepared and I think their prices are very reasonable compared to competitors who may charge upwards of $16-18 for burgers. I enjoy the firecracker fries which are very seasoned / include ranch and the blue cheese burger.
