Ricky D's Rib Shack

The restaurant is housed in a larger complex, but the interior lives up to the vibe of a shack - in a good way. Inside there are a few tables, and Ricky (I assume) appears to be running a one man operation behind a long counter. He took my order and eventually served the food on a tray, along with napkins, utensils, and my drink, in between handing off bagged orders to delivery drivers. Soul music and news channels played in the background while I ate the combo platter #1, which consisted of pulled pork, beef brisket, and quarter slab with sides of cornbread, Mac and cheese, and collard greens. I’m so mad I wasted my money and had the nerve to invite someone else to try and they wasted the money. Only thing good is the meat. Yams dry and unseasoned collard greens so bland it don’t take much to put in the effort. This Mac’s and cheese lacks all flavor had to add for salt and pepper. Yall got the meats down pack please for the love of God work on these sides. Horrible.

We absolutely loved the ribs and brisket! The service was also great and there was no long wait!

I've been here a few times, and this is top tier BBQ. I love grabbing one of the Soul Bowls to-go. For the price of a fast food value meal, you get amazing smoky, tangy and tender brisket, collared greens, Mac & cheese, rice, and beans. Amazing flavor, quality, and value. Definitely worth checking this place out if you haven't yet. I'll keep coming back for sure.

The food & staff were AMAZING & made us feel like family. We had leftovers for days! Will DEFINITELY be going back!
