We had reservations one night while in town . And it was a great experience. The staff was great and the food and atmosphere was excellent. We got the baked oysters for an appetizer they were amazing. Could've eaten a dozen easily!! I got the maple cured Cod and it was great highly recommend. Other entrees at our table were the hog chop and duck both were great as well. I don't think you could go wrong whatever you choose. Would definitely come back!!
This was such a disappointing experience. The atmosphere is very nice, but the food is unprofessional and poorly executed. The “brown butter” parsnips didn’t have a drop of brown butter on them. I don’t know why you would even advertise them as such. Maybe not everyone knows what brown butter tastes like so they don’t notice, but it’s very distinct and delicious. And there was none. My brothers entree was so overly salty he couldn’t even eat it. And my mom’s entree was borderline inedible. The flavors were either overtly unappetizing or extremely dull. I just have such a hard time understanding why people focus so much on aesthetics and trends and don’t want to excel in the one aspect that’s most important. They reluctantly apologized, you could tell they were annoyed that we had a complai
The duck and the maple cake were two of the best things I've had to eat in a very long time! The service was great as well. My only complaint was the restaurant was pretty dark and the table lights were quite dull.
I tried the mashed potatoes and it is salty. Also, the cesar salad is a little bit salty. The french fries is not tasty and served a little bit cold. Regarding the service, it is slow , and all the food served once.
Food was ok, difficult to get a reservation. I had the chicken which was nice, my wife ordered a burger well and it came out rare. She explained that since she was pregnant, to be safe would like it cooked fully. They apologized and took it back. The next burger came out more rare than the first. The third burger was cooked on the outside but pretty pink in the middle. At that point she just didn’t eat the center of the burger and we cut our losses and left. Not many options in Woodstock, unfortunate to have that experience.
