Deer Brook Inn

Deer Brook Inn was amazing! It is beautifully decorated, immaculate and very cozy. Carmen and Chris were wonderful hosts. They were very accommodating, personable and hospitable. The inn is definitely a labor of love for them. Breakfasts were delicious and Carmen is an excellent baker. I highly recommend staying here when in the area.

My friend and I stayed at Deer Brook Inn over Wassail Weekend. From the minute we walked in, we felt at home. Carmen greeted us and both she and her husband Chris were so incredibly warm and kind. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They are fantastic innkeepers - attentive to our needs but ensuring our privacy, as well. The Inn is beautifully decorated - so warm and cozy. The Inn is not in the village, but a close 8 minute drive. It exceeded our expectations. I would definitely stay there again! We wanted a quiet two nights away during the window between leaf peeping and ski season. Deer Brook was the perfect solution. The hosts Carmen and Chris have created a warm welcoming environment with just the right amount of interaction. A simple text to Carmen for needs and questions. Delicious well-presented breakfasts, afternoon hot cider or cocoa, comfortable living room area with fireplace, and climate-controlled rooms (my husband is always cold). Easy ride to the Woodstock sights. The snow flurries stopped us from using the firepit and sauna, but we walked in the woods at the nearby National Park (buildings still closed due to government shut down). We recommend the Deer Brook Inn to anyone looking for a classic B & B experience. We will be back!!

Deer Brook Inn is perfect in every way. Chris and Carmen were very welcoming and made our anniversary getaway so special. Our room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The Inn is very well maintained and is beautifully furnished and decorated. Our breakfast was delicious and there were refreshments available in the dining area throughout the day. The Inn also has a sauna for guests to use. Also, the Inn is just a few minutes drive to the village of Woodstock.

When I walked into Chris and Carmen‘s, the first thing I said to my partner was, “this is the type of place I’m never going to want to leave.” There could not be a more welcoming host and hostess. Apple cider and homemade ginger cookies waiting and a room with a living area that was cleaned meticulously. Our abundance of questions were answered with pleasure. Add fantastic recommendations were welcome. We had the perfect night sleep because of an excellent mattress and sheets. The decor in this home was so stylish that you just had to stare at every bit of it. Waking up both mornings to breakfasts which were absolutely out of this world, was an added bonus.
