Rhody Slice

First stop for the day. First of six on the fourth leg of the RI FOOD FIGHTS Lord of the Pies event. Starting fresh, stomach ready, expectations high. Rhody Slice in North Kingstown has that awesome, relaxed vibe nailed. The paper lanterns casting that warm red and orange glow across the room. The space feels more like a community gathering spot or a cool coffee house than a slice joint. Tables where you can actually settle in. Art on the walls. The kind of place that makes you want to stick around after you finish eating. The cooler is stocked with Yacht Club soda and Del's lemonade. Not just because they're local, but because they're a reminder of where you are. Rhode Island products in a Rhode Island spot. Rhode Island slices. That matters. The pizza this year was better than last time.

People rant about this place and it was slammed when we walked in. We went about 630pm and got 3 slices. They looked and tasted like they were made 4 hours ago. The place does a good business but the quality of food was not good. I have a feeling most of the high reviews are just friends or people who don't go there for the food but to be seen and socialize, which is fine. We'll give it another try maybe but our first experience was not good.

First, anytime I review I always check the negatives and one thing I find that if a customer has a negative experience all of the sudden EVERYTHING is wrong with the establishment. Anyway, I digress! We had a a g/c for this place so we decided to just use it so it doesn’t get lost. DAMN!! What a fantastic pizza, one of the best right up there with Arcadia Pizza! We had delicious pizza which had arugula on top. Crust was perfect and the flavors well balanced. My wife and I kept remarking how great it was and still talking about it the next morning. We also ordered the Caesar salad. Now, when you order this salad at any restaurant do not expect a tradional style salad. Number one you’re not paying the price, number two it is too labor intensive. Rhody Slice is excellent! The pizza is delicious, always cooked perfectly, and I love the fresh tomato flavor of their sauce (I always buy a side of sauce to dunk my crust). We order pizza way too often from this place! Also, really appreciate the excellent customer service from the team, especially Devin, who I always chat with when I pickup my orders, he's awesome! Plus the owner Izzy is great, I recently connected with him regarding a large order for an office party. Love seeing awesome new businesses pop up in North Kingstown! Definitely stop by this spot if you are in the area.

I'm beyond pleasantly surprised! I had no idea this place was so outstanding. I've driven by and finally stopped in, Very hip and clean decor, friendly staff, and ohmygawd, the pizza is some of the best I've ever had! I had margarita and it was delicious!!!!!!!!!!
