The vibe of this place was great!! Excellent service, super fresh food, and a great breakfast and lunch selection. The avocado toast with the pesto and fresh tomato was so yummy and such a fun variation. Went there to try the corned beef hash Benedict and it was hands down the best in the Rhode Island area. Actually used real corned beef, the potatoes were seasoned perfectly and the benne sauce was perfect. Super happy and will definitely go back.

I heard that Karie called her kitchen a different name a while back, but I understand that the only thing that changed may have been the name. When I went there for the first time, I was happy that they kept the baked goods, the menu items, the coffee options, and the entrance-in-the-back. This restaurant is not tucked away in some North Kingstown corner, it is located right on Route 1 as you drive along the most scenic part. I think you should check it out! Nice variety of breakfast and lunch foods. I have been there for breakfast several times. Today I had a special stuffed French toast, a red raspberry and white chocolate delight with lots of whipped cream on top. They even agreed to me preference of using sourdough bread! It was delicious. My son had the apple cinnamon stuffed French toast which he enjoyed. My husband enjoyed a jam and cheese omelet with a blueberry pancake on the date. Nicely done!

We were out again for a random weekend drive, this time down to Newport and back. As has recently become our habit, we stopped for lunch on the way home. Coming up route 1A through North Kingstown, we saw a big sign saying nothing but "Restaurant" so I hit the brakes. What we found was Karie's Kitchen (formerly Jiggers South).
