Restaurante & Pupuseria Salvadoreño

Food is always delicious. Many Salvadoran food in the area but this is my go to spot. We do Drive over 30 mins just to eat here. Staff is friendly.

Excellent!! Everything was fresh and delicious with the nicest people working there. There are tables and a window section (where we sat). The restaurant is small, but comfortable. We were greeted warmly and our order arrived piping hot and delicious. Generous portions. The chicken soup was outstanding, with fresh vegetables, rice and pasta, and generous serving of chicken which I shredded and added to the soup. SO GOOD!! Highly recommend 🤩

I called and ordered sancocho. She told me they had regular chicken soup. I said ok. I asked if she had rice and plantains on the side. She said yes. 20 minutes. I was running late so I had my grandmother call -who speaks Spanish- to let them know I was running late. She tells my grandmother she told me they didn't have soup. It never happened. She said she had the rice and plantains ready. I thought it was strange because we had a whole conversation about it. My grandmother asked if she had soup and she said only regular chicken soup. My grandmother said yes that it what she ordered. I go to pick it up and she charges me $50. She made the soup and a chicken platter which I didn't have any idea about. She said oh sorry. And pretty much that was it. It was honestly the strangest experience.

Starting off with the food they got my order wrong gave me the wrong type of meat. Also asked for watermelon juice instead gave me pineapple and had to pay for both drinks. Service wasn’t all great she yelled at me confused me and made me feel uncomfortable. Atmosphere wasn’t so great people everywhere no where to sit while waiting almost 30 minutes. Felt like people where on top of me didn’t feel great because of my claustrophobia. Didn’t get my moneys worth because my girlfriends order wasn’t right and she didn’t eat had to pay 20 dollars for the wrong order just for it not to be eaten. And when I called to put a complain one of the workers hung up on me.

The food is authentic, fresh and delicious! Carmen and the staff are kind, courteous and patient. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Definitely worth a visit or 4😊
