Great first experience at the upstairs bar on a quiet night. The food was delicious: we shared duck fat fries, deviled eggs, pizza, and salad. Fresh, flavorful, balanced, and beautiful presentation. Only thing holding back 5 stars was heavy salt on the fries which overwhelmed the dipping sauces. The true star of the experience, however, was our expert bartender August who is a true cocktail craftsman! After sampling a couple drinks from the menu, he created a custom drink inspired by my tastes and it was outstanding. Next time you visit Cotton, ask for "The Bradford"...you're welcome!! This will be a regular stop the next time I visit Monroe.
I haven't been in a few years, but went in with my mom for a little birthday lunch and it was everything I remembered. Duck wraps were delicious for an app. I had gnocchi with Italian sausage and fried crawfish tails for an entree and it was a super rich treat. My mom had a roast beef poorboy and it was good, but not great. Like most all poorboys outside NO the bread was lacking. Our service was impeccable, the space is beautiful. Higly recommend as always.
Abby was attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations. The steak was phenomenal, the brussel sprouts were great and the blue cheese fondue on the steak was spot on. My only regret was not taking a picture of the food before I devoured it.
We made a day trip to Bastrop and decided to go on into Monroe to eat before heading back home. Our daughter picked this restaurant based solely on online reviews and it turned out to be spot on. The food was amazing, the service was great and the environment is beautiful. If you have the opportunity, dine here. We will make it a destination of ours going forward.
In town for a couple of days of business. Tired so decided to door dash and saw Restaurant Cotton rated highly on Yelp. Got the meatloaf, deviled eggs, and biscuits. All of them hit, no misses. Meatloaf is dense but not dry with a little spice. Some of the best deviled eggs, with a nice fried chicken skin, pickle and hot sauce kicker. Scratch biscuits were so good. The cane butter and whatever seasonal jelly was amazing. Eat here if you are in town.
