Rest Area

Nice little rest area, room for about 10 trucks. Bathrooms are nice and cleaned. Very quiet. Good place to do a 10.

This rest area has a small shelter with a men's and women's restroom. The restrooms were very clean fresh and stocked with toilet paper, soap, and hand dryers. There is not any vending here. There are a few shelters that provide some shade with picnic tables and a couple of unshaded picnic tables. I don't imagine this would be a very nice place to make a long stop because it's very hot there's not a lot of shade and there's no nice scenery. Plus it's super close to the highway. So unless you are sick of being cooped up in the car I would just use this place as a bathroom break and get back on the road.

The rest stop is nice, but don't plan to stop if all you care about is the Bender historical marker. As of May 2025, the sign has been removed.

Nice rest stop along US400. Below sure to read the historical marker about the bloody benders, a gruesome tail from a time long ago. Has a RV dump station and a nice walking path through some restored native prairie.
