Reno’s On The River

I came here as part of a large group while we were visiting for Mardi Gras. The first night was so impressive, the owner and chef came out to meet us, and the food was unbelievable. We actually ate there every night we were there, 3 nights in a row, because it was so reliable and we made a great connection with the crew. Drinks, food, environment, and service were top notch. I highly recommend this place. Such a small-town feel in a competitive area. It’s definitely worth the travel to experience this place! Plus, it’s right on the river!! I’ll definitely be back next year!

Cute, quaint place on the river! Had live music on a Sunday, not too loud and was good! We shared the 3 combo platter of alligator, frog legs and catfish, came with fries and slaw! Was pretty good! Also got the side of red beans and rice, was awesome! Definitely a nice send off back to Missouri!

It was a gorgeous day so we set out for Middendorf's to eat on the deck. We were dismayed to discover that it was closed for the year, despite this being the best time for weather in south Louisiana. As it turns out, they did us a favor because we ended up at Reno's on the River. Not only did we get to eat outside on their lovely deck, but the food was absolutely incredible. We started out with the fried crab claws - light, fresh, and truly the best we've ever had. My kids are still talking about them. The fish and shrimp po-boys could not have been better. Fresh and perfectly fried seafood on the perfect po-boy bread. Even the fries were outstanding. My daughter, a mac & cheese connoisseur, was totally wowed by this version - rich, creamy, and clearly homemade. The staff obviously cared v

Talked to the owners. Incredible friendly. Staff was unbelievable. I told him and I mean it. The food is 2nd to none. And the seafood gumbo was the Holy Grail of seafood gumbos…. I highly recommend Reno’s to everyone. Prices were equally reasonably to the food and service.

Food was seasoned great and cooked perfectly. Krystal the bartender made a perfect Old Fashioned.
