We visited Rehoboth Beach this past August with my husband and our little one. Overall, the experience was just okay for us. The beach itself felt very crowded—definitely not a place to expect peace and quiet. The sand was on the coarse side, and the waves can get pretty strong when they hit the shore. On the positive side, there are convenient wash-off stations every 20–30 meters so you can easily rinse off sand, which was helpful for families with kids. They also offer umbrella and chair rentals (around $15 for an umbrella), which makes it easy to set up for the day without bringing your own gear. Parking was one of the biggest challenges. It took us nearly half an hour to finally find a spot, so I would strongly recommend planning ahead. The good part is that the beach area is surroun
We love this beach. Parking can be hard to find during busy hours and I think is 3$ per hour. We try to come when its not busy and the kids enjoy playing in the sand. The coastal dune park has an entrance to the beach and has some parking spots nearby as well.
This beach is absolutely beautiful. We visited in March so it was still winter. The beach was pretty empty except for the shells which I enjoyed seeking. The area was unusually clean. There was a nice wooden boardwalk that runs parallel to the beach. It was extremely busy with walkers, human and fur baby alike. We parked in a marked space at the entrance to the public beach access. I am not sure what parking potential is in summer, but in winter it was quiet easy. This beach is definately worth the trip.
Second time at Rehoboth and The place was nice and quiet in the morning. Beautiful view for a relaxing walk. It got busier and people were happy to be out after COVID-19 lock down. I love the different choices of food and the night life was pretty relaxing walking and learning about different places. I think it was a pretty safe beach. Everyone was behaving and lifeguard were very vigilant.
A beautiful and clean beach town with boardwalk. Be prepared to scout for parking spaces as it gets busy during summer. Metered parking is $3/hr. I could not locate a changing room but there was a public restroom, not meant for changing. French fries from Thrasher’s were great. Though the waters weren’t warm but we had fun in the big waves.
