(Redlands) Cheliz Restaurant

We just love this place. It's a no-frills local diner with great food and consistently solid service at a reasonable price. It's so much easier to get in here, grab a quick bite, and head out, than it is to deal with downtown or some of the other spots that just aren't as good. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem with good food and good prices They need banners and more advertising Although it's busy so maybe not, save tables for us! We will be back for more loaded quesadillas and waffles and to try the chilaquilas Alexa was so friendly!

Cute little restaurant. Service was great. I had the cheliz omelette and it was delicious! Their country potatoes were homemade and wow! So good! Probably my favorite potatoes at a restaurant. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star on food was because my mom had the chilaquiles and they were just ok. Flavor was lacking and my mom was disappointed. Overall great restaurant!

I’ve been coming here for a while and have always enjoyed it. Today I ordered menudo and machaca to go. I was told they don’t have machaca and was then told they “don’t really serve a lot of Mexican dishes,” which honestly surprised me. When I ask coworkers where to get good Mexican food, Cheliz is always mentioned at the top of the list. Hearing that made it seem like the restaurant either doesn’t take pride in serving Mexican food or doesn’t see it as part of their identity. Because of that experience, I won’t be returning.
