Red Onion Cafe/Espressoria - Galena

This cafe is attached to a medical building and hospital. My wife and I both had salads as we arrived early for an ultrasound. It is an order at the counter and they bring it out to you kind of place. My wife had chicken walnut salad and I had fried chicken salad. Both were well presented (We started eating before I remembered to take pics!) and pleasing to the eye! Of course the real test is in the eating! Both were delicious!

Omg!! This place was amazing. It was our first time and won’t be our last! Portions are big in my opinion. Staff was friendly and helpful. Place was so clean. Desert was okay. It was hard as a rock due to being frozen. So skip the desert! We had the peanut butter bar thing and cake. Just can’t say enough good things about this place. We’re so full!

I have to agree with another review. I watched the manager get nasty with employees last night. We have been loyal Red Onion customers for more than 15 years. The food was as delicious as always, but his attitude towards the employees and me were uncalled for. My 2 year old had spilled some of his drink and we needed napkins. I approached the counter and every single employee was gathered at the door to the kitchen. I tried to say "mam" to get the attention of the one closest to me, as none saw me there and napkins are not where customers can get them. I watched as the manager started handing off food and raising his voice to tell them to go with it. Then one male employee grabbed some silverware packets to take and he was reprimanded because one of the girls already had silverware. I was

I ordered only an omelet and toast. I received one slice of toast instead of two. There are no wait staff, no one asked if I needed anything else. Had to get my own coffee refill. Total bill was $26.

Red Onion had a special Mother’s Day brunch today and it was exceptional….as always.
