Red Enchilada Restaurant

This food is delicious! We ordered the beef burrito with green chile, the blue corn enchilada with red and the tri-enchiladas with red. So good! It even came with enormous sopapillas and honey. We got the food to-go and service was prompt and fast. Very good!!!!

Unexpected treasure in a small strip mall in the middle of Santa Fe. We hit up the place for dinner after several years of hearing good things. The service was prompt and he was very kind and patient. We got the pupusas and the Los amigos dish. The sauce on that dish was so good, we used the pupusas to soak it up. Definitely an unsuspecting treasure.

Update Red Enchilada Tuesday, January 27, Noon 5 Stars Red Enchilada is a family-owned Salvadoran and New Mexican restaurant in business for the last 15 years at the same corner of Osage Ave and Cerrillos Road. The dining rooms are cheerful and bright and welcoming with many hand painted South American murals. We were warmly greeted and served with our favorite beverage, horchatas. If you have never ordered this beverage do. The creamy, sweet and spiced drink is great accompaniment to a Central American meal. One of the unique offerings on the menu are Salvadoran pupusas. The pupusas have a choice of fillings (cheese, veggies, or chicharrones,) and are a relative rarity on Santa Fe menus. Lovely little restaurant with great food. The salsa is especially amazing and worth a visit on its own.

Food is always GREAT, but the service is lacking.... if you want a great meal with little to no service this is the spot, I usually bring my own bottled water because after they drop of your food the servers wont return until they drop off the bill, no refill on your iced tea.
