The interior has exposed brick and such a great, cozy vibe. It was packed when we got there, so we ended up sitting at the bar but honestly, it worked out perfectly. The bar seating was comfortable and made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun. Service was great from start to finish, friendly, attentive, and on top of everything even with how busy it was. The food was just as good as the atmosphere. The steak was cooked beautifully and paired perfectly with green beans and sweet potato fries. The fried pickles were crispy with just the right crunch and dipping sauce. And the seared tuna dish was fresh, flavorful, and plated so nicely. Definitely a spot with good energy, great food, and service that keeps everything running smoothly, we’ll be back.

My family and I recently visited Recess Southern Gastro-Pub and had an absolutely amazing meal! From the moment we sat down, our server, Isaac, made the experience unforgettable. He walked us through the menu, gave honest recommendations on the best dishes, and somehow made everything sound incredible. Isaac was funny, genuine, and great with my boys. It’s always a bonus when you randomly pick a restaurant, learn a bit about its history, and then get paired with a server who truly elevates the entire experience. He wasn’t just attentive, he was engaging, personable, and made us feel right at home. My boys keep asking when we can go back to see Isaac again, that says it all. Me and my dad went here for dinner. We ordered their special of the day which was bowl of French onion soup along with a pineapple-teriyaki burger and fries. We were quite surprised with the French onion soup which had a sweet aftertaste. When we inquired with our server, they mentioned that the soup had Coca-cola mixed in with it. We told them to send our compliments to the chef because it was very tasty! The burger was also well done and delicious. The atmosphere inside was very cozy with many people starting to come in for dinner. A nice place for dinner in the downtown area.

Such an amazing place! The food is SOOO good, I got the fried pickles with chipotle ranch, and the garlic Parmesan chicken breast. Absolutely amazing. The tropical martini is good as well! Cole, the manager was absolutely amazing, best server I’ve had. He was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place to eat!

Good comforting food. I had their chicken sandwich with fries, and the filet was large, the sauce was nicely covered, and the bun was fluffy. I wish I had tried the garlic truffle fries, as the regular fries were decent but I usually like a little extra :)
