Ray & Mike's Deli

This place went viral on TikTok and I just had to go by there and see what they’re about and I’m so glad I did. I had the steak and cheese sub and my BF had the chicken Philly steak - AMAZING! It was so much meat and pricing is reasonable. The cashier in the deli and market area were so friendly, welcoming and attentive. You have a very happy, returning customer :)

Awesome!! Definitely one of the best steak and cheese sandwiches in the area, one of the best around, the best I've had in a while. Ordering was easy, they are very nice and very helpful. They run a tight crew in the kitchen and get your orders out. Serving up quality food with great service. It's split kinda, deli half and convenience store half, so all your chips and drinks are right there, you pay up front for all your stuff at one counter. The menu has some interesting selections, I "highly" recommend. I love that they use traditional deli paper wrapping, with their insignia, not generic. The sandwich I got was loaded, not skimp. Hot, fresh and delicious. Will definitely return soon for another sandwich. Try the Medical Marinara

So I have been to this shop many many times. They are a long time fixture here in Hamden. They make amazing ing sandwiches this is no 4 star cuisine or place for tic tok excellence but they make sandwiches for those that eat sandwiches. It’s been sometime since I have stopped in to get something usually do one of the delivery services. I was in the area and was starved so dropped by. The inside deli area has been mildly revamped they have a new counter area and POS, removed the coolers and seating. The counter guy was a bit surprised when I went to order he seemed very lost. The front counter girl came over she was amazing and very much on point I watched her continuously run between front counter and back ordering counter. I got my sandwich and as always it was great.

Best sandwiches around Hamden! I ordered a tuna melt sub and they were great to prep it cold/no cheese instead of a tuna melt. Very generous amount of freshly made tuna and was delicious. Good snacks and nice staff too.
