Ranney-Crawford House Bed and Breakfast

This Bed and Breakfast is amazing! What a find!! The spacious rooms are beautifully decorated in a New England style complete with beautiful quilts, linens, and comfy comforters, chairs and small couches. The host and hostess are an interesting and informative couple. Many of the wooden tables, chairs and armoires in the home are handmade by the husband and the beautiful folk paintings and handmade quilts are created by the wife. It gives the B&B such added charm. I haven't begun to tell you of the delicious breakfasts we had. We had asked for a light version breakfast and it was fantastic. This B&B is known for incredible breakfasts. I cannot tell you how scrumptious the scones tasted. All in all a fantastic time. I would definitely recommend this B&B and I will be coming back again. Nanc

I spent 6 nights here end of May 2015 while attending a painting workshop. The house is really lovely and Arnie and Diane couldn't be more accommodating. The yard was FULL of blooming lilacs and in the meadow up the hill behind the house there were bobolinks and all kinds of other birds. I spent time walking around up there most evenings. Gorgeous. Also, visited the swimming hole which was pristine and wonderful. Beautiful scenery on the walk. Not too deep, but a wonderful spot. I loved chatting with Arnie and Diane over breakfast which was great (thanks for the great coffee!). It felt more like visiting family by the end of the week. I'm really glad I stayed there. It made my trip to Putney really nice.

We just spent three nights at the wonderful Ranney-Crawford House. We are repeat guests and will continue to go out of our way to stay at this beautiful inn. Arnie and Diane are warm, interesting and helpful hosts. My husband is an avid cyclist and Arnie worked with him to create routes customized to the distance and hills he was looking for. Breakfasts were some of the best I've had with tomatoes fresh from the garden, eggs cooked perfectly to order, and great coffee. Looking forward to our next visit!

We planned a fun bike weekend with adult siblings and their spouses, and took over the whole place. The house was everything we could have asked for. Our hosts, Diane & Arny, were very accommodating, from the delicious breakfasts, dinner suggestions & reservations, to the wonderful advice on biking & hiking trails. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the Ranney-Crawford House!!!

We stayed at the Ranney-Crawford House last weekend. The room was lovely. Large, nice linens and they had a very comfortable trundle bed for our son. The breakfast was delicious and the host & hostess very nice. My only comment is the bathroom is small in Elijah's room. If you are a big person ask for a different room. Otherwise - I highly recommend this Inn. And, I'll be staying there again next month.
