Ranch and Roost

R&Roost is still too much a Gillette “best kept secret” -a great find with excellent smash burgers and nice dark fries. The chicken sandwich was good too but I was expecting a darker, crunchier breading/coating and it was more thin and light. The buns are super fresh! There is no place to dine inside but plenty of space outside wind and weather permitting. The place next door welcomes R&R customers and is an extension of with even a logo on the door, which we really appreciated at noon with a party of 7 on a very windy day. The bar is clean and spacious with a most friendly bar tender. The family members that joined us live here in Gillette and couldn’t believe we found a great place they didn’t know about. We will be going back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had the Mushroom Swiss double smash burger with bacon, mushrooms, and cheese — absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Fries were hot and crispy too. Ranch & Roost nailed it — definitely coming back!

Would have given 5 stars, but order was missing fries. Then told a young server and she forgot, probably because they were busy. The classic old world Americana menu of burgers, fries and fried chicken is top tier. I’d return again when in the area. UPDATE: I came back. I changed this to a 5 star review. Everyone makes mistakes. Real people fix theirs. They will always make it right here. They made us customers for life. The food here is crazy good. And the service is just as good.

Great food and service 😋 Matthew took my order and when I asked what’s his favorite item on the menu, he recommended the Jalapeño Popper Burger. I decided to tried it and it certainly did not disappoint …. it was AMAZING! Thank you for the friendly service Matthew. I highly recommend this hidden gem located right near downtown Gillette!

What a cool spot to grab some tasty, fresh food! Great ambiance, fantastic hand cut fries, burgers and chicken (made the way we wanted) were ALL cooked to perfection! Definitely give this place a try! Not pictured was my burger in a lettuce boat (no bun) which accommodated for my food allergies. Great eats!
