Ramen Wakana Ramen Noodle and Sushi日式拉面寿司

My husband and I have been repeat customers of Ramen Wakana for about 4 years now. This was our go-to sushi and ramen spot. It never missed! It was good every time. Except for tonight. We spent almost $90 on sushi and chasu buns and were highly disappointed. The fish didn’t taste as fresh as it usually does. We ordered crunchy roll that is typically spicy tuna with crunch on top and this roll was just tempura breading in a roll. The shrimp tempura roll used to be much bigger and come with avocado. What we got tonight was far from the usual. I’m not sure if there’s new ownership or a new chef, but our order tonight was not what we’re used to at all. We’re extremely unhappy and probably won’t order again from here.

Absolutely wonderful ramen and rice bowls. The wall seating was very comfortable for tall people. 10/10.

We finally had an opportunity to stop in and try Ramen Wakana and boy am I glad we did. The ingredients were fresh, the Ramen broth flavorful and the Rainbow roll delicious. I, love spicy and truly enjoyed the chili paste our server gave me. We definitely will be back.

10/10 do recommend if you want quality Ramen & Fresh Sushi! Food was flavorful! Well worth the money, the decor & experience is damn good! Food was very fresh, hot, and hit the spot! Bubble tea was out of this world! Tough finding good ramen especially being tainted from North Jersey ramen (what we are used to)! Pricing was on the higher side but food was with the price! Only downside is our waitress was not very attentive but extremely knowledgeable & friendly! Establishment was clean & vibe was on point! I most definitely will be back to Ramen Wakana, well done to the owners & staff!

We ordered miso ramens, both spicy and non-spicy. Other than the big portion port meat, the ramen itself was nothing special and the broth was also plain. The biggest plus was actually tatami style seating which I have never seen in other ramen restaurants in NJ 😃
