Really wanted to love this place. The atmosphere is very cool and the service was great. The karaage chicken appetizer was good but the ramen, particularly the broth, was lacking in flavor. My shoyu was bland and light in color - normally it is darker from the soy sauce base. My husband's tonkotsu was slightly better. I do appreciate the generous amount of toppings though. Unfortunately I do not think we will be back simply because the ramen was subpar.
We have eaten here many times over the years, we find it's always reliably high in quality and craftsmanship. The chefs really put such care into meeting the taste of each customer. They are a really fun and friendly lot. Their shirts are always awesome and their menu is always consistently great
Rakkii Ramen is a Japanese noodle house located on S New St. in Bethlehem. They are open every day from 11AM - 8:30PM. I was here once a few years ago and all the food was delicious. This time around was no different. I started with the noodle wrapped shrimp and Karaage chicken. The shrimp are deep fried and topped with spicy mayo and Okinawa sauce. The chicken is also fried and topped with sweet and spicy gochujang sauce. The Karaage chicken is my favorite item on the menu. I tried the spicy miso ramen last time. This time I went with the tonkotsu ramen. It's made with pork broth, ajitsuke tamago, chashu, bamboo shoots, scallions, nori, narutomaki, and black garlic oil. My friend ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl. She liked it so much the first time she had to order it again. Service
Had a horrible Ramen experience at a different Ramen place and was seeking “Ramen Redemption.” I was not disappointed here. Rakkii Ramen had great vibes all around. The music and overall atmosphere really set the tone and made it a fun place to hang out, and the service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed. I ordered the fried chicken ramen and it was honestly delicious. It was crispy, flavorful, and the chicken paired perfectly with the broth and noodles. Everything tasted fresh and well put together. They also have a really cool robot that brings food to your table, which was a fun and unique touch and definitely added to the experience. I’d absolutely come back again, both for the food and the experience. Definitely a solid spot if you’re looking for good ramen with a g
2 of the smallest pieces of meat. They equal the size of one piece of bacon. Eggs looked like a day old. 1st time in my life I have left a review for anything. Maybe for $5. Nothing more than that.
