Rager Burger - Van Wert, OH

This place doesn’t serve burgers. Don’t let the name fool you. It’s only sausage. This is the first time that I’ve stopped in, even though I’m from here. And I actually thought that they decided to start serving burgers also. I inquired, and they don’t. I’ve had the sausage sandwich at the local fair in the past. I ordered the double sausage, add cheese and a fried egg. Sandwich total, $9.06. Honestly, I’m a little disappointed with the portion size for the price. Add a small fountain drink, and you’re over $12.

I'm just being honest, if I wanted some garbage I can always go to McDonald's or Burger King. However, I've finally found worse in the Burger camp. FRIED burgers are not good whether they are beef or sausage. Maybe in the future you can give us a choice between the 2 because as of now it's the worst. But all the veggies were fresh and service was great.

Was looking for a good burger. The sausage sandwich hit the dot. Cooked perfectly. The staff is not your run of the mill whatever people. They all care about you and your experience in their establishment. They are inside the Shell gas station with Hot Heads. Absolutely delicious. My new stooping place on my way to Eldora for the season.

Ordered fries and onion rings at the drive through from a disinterested kid. It took forever to get the food and the portions were small. The onion rings were overcooked.

It’s a little strange - like finding a secret door to get into a speakeasy during prohibition. Ok. It’s not that dramatic, but you do need to go to a different little cash register perched at the end of the Hot Heads counter. And you order from an inconspicuous, overhead menu board with a separate menu from the franchise. I get a double with egg and cheese with onion, pickle and mustard. Perfect sandwich. This has quickly become one of my favorite stops in Van Wert. And it does feel like a secret club.
