This place is delicious. Our family spends several weeks out of each year in the area because we are hunters and we’re always disappointed by restaurants in the area but not here. Our food wasn’t just good. It is delicious. Barbara is an incredible cook. Everything is made in house every day. It’s fresh. The food is hot and honestly tastes like you’re at your grandma‘s house, not at a restaurant. For $12 we got a freshly fried pork chop helping of purple hull peas, turnip greens mac & cheese and a slice of Texas toast with a tea. I cannot recommend Miss Barbara enough. Our family is going tonight because on Friday night. She has a ribeye steak special cooked on a charcoal grill and a fried catfish dinner. Y’all better check this place out. It is worth it! Very quaint and subtle charm! Food was fresh prepared and cooked to order, featuring good old-fashioned southern meals. Service was great, food was delicious, and wait times weren't long. Highly recommend for a good old-fashioned country meal!

I don't know what it was about this place that made it so different. You'll get fed ....the food here will feed your heart. It's just good home cooking that's made with love. It reminded me of my grandma's cooking ...and I'm telling you that women could anything. It's small, quaint, peaceful. Maybe that was part of it, a great place to sit down for a quiet meal with great food and service.

Me and my wife stopped by for our first time there. Bbq plate , two sides. Second plate was the catfish plate,two sides. They kept trying to "push" the banana pudding. But we decided against it. Paid $53.55 and it really hit us when my wife asked how much it was once in the vehicle. I really think they accidentally charged for the pudding also. But we're not from there. So we've tried to call to maybe clarify the over charge. But can't even do that because these folks apparently won't answer the phone!! We've tried for two days!! Food was pretty good,but won't be back!!! Ate steak ,salad,baked potato and more sides two days later at Texas roadhouse and it was this price basically.

I had the bbq pork plate with onion rings and coleslaw. Very good.. My husband had the hamburger steak with gravy and onions cooked perfectly medium rare, Fried okra and I kinda forgot what the other was.. we also had banana pudding..
