Quinn's Almost by the Sea

Sat down for lunch after reading some good reviews, and turns out they weren’t lying. The prices are reasonable, and the food definitely delivers. The place is packed with Green Bay Packers memorabilia, which made me, a lifelong Vikings fan, feel like I’d wandered into enemy territory. That said, the food was good enough that I’d happily cross rival lines again. If I lived nearby, I’d absolutely be a regular. Our server was friendly and kept our glasses full, which is always appreciated. As for the food, the potato skins, cheese curds, and short ribs (I think they might be called Kalbi?) were all fantastic. Great food, great service, and only minor emotional damage being in Packers territory.

Food was pretty good, we both got steaks and thr quinn potatoes. The potatoes I think would of been a little better with some seasoning Wait was about 15 min, server was friendly. We didn't order anything fancy but everything was cooked as expected. They give you a lot of food!

The location, atmosphere, and service were good. Everything looked appealing, but the food missed the mark for me. My wife got the tacos and I got the captains platter. Compared to other locations in the island, the tacos were bland. For me the fish and shrimp tasted more like pre-battered, fried items than fresh seafood. It’s fine if it’s your first stop or looking for some basic food, but pretty overpriced for all the options on the island.

Quinn’s Almost by the Sea is such a gem! The bar food is great — fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want in a casual spot. The bartender was attentive and friendly, keeping the drinks flowing and the atmosphere upbeat. It has this wonderfully laid-back vibe, almost like a dive bar you’ve been going to for years. Easygoing, welcoming, and always a good time — definitely one of my favorite relaxed spots in Kona.

What a great, friendly place for a meal. Had some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. I had the Mahi Mahi and wifey had ONO, both were just amazing. Perfectly cooked. Great service.
