Queens Public Library at Forest Hills

THE LIBRARY SHOULD OPEN AT 10:00 AM AND CLOSE AT 8:00PM ALL THE TIME FROM MON. TO SATURDAYYYY GREAT IDEAA

This library is so strange. I asked to use a stapler and they said they don’t give those out. Like what kind of library doesn’t let you use a stapler? I had to go to CVS access the street to use a stapler. Like a pharmacy handing me a stapler before a LIBRARY is weird. And just yesterday I needed to print something last minute and they said their computers were off. Keep in mind it’s still like 20 mins before closing. The library near me lets you use their resources until at least 5mins before closing. And they close randomly sometimes. Just a strange area overall.

Not the first time their return kiosk is out of order. No communication, no nothing. People make a trek all the way just for it to be closed.

This branch of the library is near the 71st Street station and has 3 levels. The 3 levels are basement, first floor and second floor. The basement level is used for bathrooms, and many other things. The first floor has international books, periodicals, and many other things, people can check out books and get a library card. The 2nd floor is kids and children only.

My experience here was behond amazing. I was there on Saturday with my two lil girls and was welcome by this positive fantastic person called Ms.Lucy. she gave us all the information about upcoming events. I live in fresh meadows and will comeback to this library instead of the one near me because of the love and care I received that day. Highly recommend. On saturday there was a Dominican music concert photo booth and face painting. Ms.Lucy was also super sweet and handed out stickers for the lil ones.
