Quality Inn Cheraw

The rooms are clean. Comfortable beds. The breakfast is average for a hotel of this price range. But, it doesn't matter if you you are in a non-smoking room or not, the pot smell comes through the ventilation from the back side of the building. There’s a mostly construction workers staying here during the week and if that's who they want to cater to fine, I won't stay here again.

We had a reservation and when we arrived the front desk clerk was very nice to us but when we got to our room the problems started. The room smelled so bad of mold/mildew that we had to leave the door open for a while. The linen and towels were clean and fresh, the bathroom was clean but the toilet seat was so loose it slid of when used. We wanted to spend a little time with our niece by the pool only to find out the pool was half full and green. The breakfast was pretty good but on one occasion we all had to wait while the hotel employee ran to the store to get milk. Not a great experience for us.

Positive: We stay here quite a lot; it is our go to hotel in the Cheraw area. The staff is always friendly at this location, also I love the waffles in the morning. The breakfast area is very clean and always well stocked. Negative: There is a $100 deposit on each room that I was surprised about, but other than that everything was good.

The manager Heather was friendly at check in. The cleaning staff were nice with extra towels. The commode was loose from the floor. The sheer curtains were dirty and had a cigarette hole in them. The sink was extremely cracked. There was an odor in the room, I guess a cleaning spray odor, seemed strong but running the air seemed to help it. Will I stay again, yes even with these issues staying at another place in town it was much worse than these issues. Thanks for asking

On choice app it stated that they have hot breakfast. They do not. Housekeepers left door open during the day while I was at work. You have to pull door to you in order to get key to work on room.
