At the H Street Festival in Washington, DC, I had the pleasure of purchasing a Navy Bean Pie from Pure Love Pies and it was absolutely amazing. The flavor was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness. The texture was silky, and the crust had that perfect homemade feel that tied everything together. I’ve heard about Navy Bean Pies before, but tasting this one truly made me a believer. It’s clear that it was baked with love and care, living up to the name Pure Love Pies. Every bite reminded me of comfort, tradition, and quality. If you’ve never tried a Navy Bean Pie before, this is the one to start with. I’ll definitely be coming back for more and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dessert that’s both unique and unforgettable.

the moment we walked in the sister welcomed us with a very warm as salamu alaykum wa rahmatulli wa barakatuh & smile. That’s enough for a 5 star review, especially in this day and age. But nevertheless, their pies are absolutely amazing. Moist, sweet, rich and creamy. A perfect bean pie. A beautiful Muslim American tradition is being preserved and perfected here!

Everything. This coconut pie is everything my soul needs right now. Squash is fire. Coconut cake w/pineapple is heaven and takes me back to days when I shared that with my Dad. Service was sweet and funny as the pies are banging. And yes! The bean pie was also worth the hour drive I took to get them.

Y’all… I’m just going to leave a picture of what’s left of my banana pudding! I forgot to take a picture before I started eating it! My friend drove all the way from Ohio and brought a cooler to take bean pies home with him! He introduced me to this place. Ashley, hooked us up with some of her carrot cake. This place is a must! I will be visiting there often. Pure love is put into every bite!

Great bakery with many desserts from which to choose. You’ll find assorted pies, cakes, cookies, banana pudding, peach cobbler and savory quiche. Pies are in varying sizes: slices, 8”, 10” and the counter display case has so many of these tempting choices. There is a cold beverage & dessert case too. Counter staff is cordial and efficient and the bakery is always neat and clean. Entrance is handicap accessible and there is limited on street parking as there are several food/dining businesses on both sides of the block.
