D Doubles Guy

I first heard about this food truck on social media and had been meaning to try it, but since it was 40 minutes away, I hesitate, I didn’t want to make the drive and end up disappointed. However, my cousin went and raved about how delicious their doubles were, so I finally made the trip. I’m so glad I did! I tried the doubles and the aloo pie both were absolutely delicious! Everything is made to order, so it’s fresh, not sitting around getting soggy. It came out piping hot and full of flavor. I even brought some home to my family and they were all impressed with how amazing everything tasted. The customer service was excellent. BEAT FOOD EXPERIENCE I’ve had in a long time! I had doubles with everything on it (second time having their doubles) and my first time having aloo pie with channa, EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!!! Customer service was also top tier, so sweet and genuine.

I really wanted to enjoy this spot because I am coming from 2 hours away. The staff were genuinely kind, but unfortunately the food missed the mark for me. I ordered a few doubles and an aloo pie. The doubles had the right elements, but something was off with the seasoning as the flavors just weren’t fully there; close but not fully there. Also, mid-bite, I found a hair in the doubles, which was disappointing and made it impossible to continue eating. The aloo pie was also inedible; I think the oil it was fried in gave it a strange taste. I respect the effort and the friendliness of the people working there, but I was turned off by this experience.

When I tell you that these doubles slap! Hands down the best doubles I’ve had in the states. Comparable only to the mother land in Trinidad. I’m a vegan and the options were natural and fresh. If you’re a vegan like me just tell them to hold the cheese, shrimp or saltfish. If you’re not a vegan then enjoy everything on the menu too! It’s a win win for everyone. Thanks Chris!
