This place is incredible! My husband and I love Latin American culture and food, so when we saw this restaurant open a few years ago we knew we had to try it but had never gotten around to it until a few months ago. Ever since then we come here about once every two weeks or more. There is nowhere in Aiken with food as authentic, delicious, and affordable as Las Veronicas. Although I've tried most of the menu and all of it is tasty, the pupusas are easily the best item. They're very cheap in comparison to the other dishes and have over 5 different variations of fillings. My favorites are the revueltas and the lorocos. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comforting; whoever hand-painted the walls deserves recognition because the murals of national birds from the different countries themed aro
Absolutely loved everything we got (grilled quail, plantains, and sweet corn atole)! We stopped by the dmv, noticed this place and just had to stop by. We will definitely be coming back again!
Our 1st time, BUT not our last!!! Our server greeted us at the door and was so friendly!! He spent precious time explaining dishes...he even pulled out his phone to show us pictures of foods. The food was soooo amazing!!! The restaurant is small but clean and the art on the walls is gorgeous. You will want to go and experience this place for yourself!!!! The food portions are huge...as you can see in the pictures.
Family operated restaurant with friendly service & great tasting foods. We had the fried bream entree & egg/steak breakfast. Great flavors & bream was meaty & crunchy. Flan was best I’ve had in the Southeast, creamy smooth texture with an excellent caramel sauce. 2 thumbs up.
My daughter found this nice hole in the wall restaurant. She knows how much I LOVE pupusas, and told me all about it. I had to take the 45 min. drive to try them out. I can honestly say I’m glad I took the drive! We had the pupusas with beans, cheese, and chicharon (revueltas) and they were DELICIOUS!!! They’re served with a side of slaw with a nice sauce. Following this amazing treat, we had our delightful main course…I ordered the Mofongo Relleno de Camarones…it was AMAZING! It is not fixed quite like us Puerto Ricans fix it, however, it did not disappoint! It was served with a side of salad and a sauce that you can pour over and or dip your Mofongo in. My daughter opted for the Bistek Burrito which was served with a side of rice and beans. when I say I can tell those beans were HOME MA
