Punxsy Pizza

Never again! I went there 2/12/26 at 8:10 and ordered a pizza and cheese sticks. The person taking my order was rude and i had to correct my order three times. We got our Cheese sticks in about 15 minutes and I told the girl we also got a pizza. After waiting another 30 minutes i went to check on the pizza and found it was on top of the oven the entire time waiting for me (NO APOLOGY ) . it is now 8:50 when i get my food and we start eating they shut the lights off on us and start getting ready to leave because they close at 9:00. I was understanding about the mix up about the pizza but shutting off the lights and making us feel like a bother was the rudest experience i have had in any eating establishment!

A friend and I visited Punxsy Pizza a few years ago, and I still remember how good the pizza was. It ended up being the highlight of our trip to Punxsutawney. Honestly, it’s some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, mainly because of Nana’s homemade garlic sauce. That stuff should be bottled and sold. It was a perfect match for the pizza. If you’re anywhere near Punxsutawney, this place is a must-try.

We stopped in here on Saturday, February 1st, 2025. We were in town from Michigan, for Groundhog Day! We had been walking around Punxsutawney all day checking out the sights and had a fantastic lunch here! We loved the fact that even the inside of our pizza boxes had Phil! The pizza and stromboli were excellent! The Awakening Honey Brown Ale, from The Punxsutawney Brewing Company and Dough Daddy Brewery is a great brew! This is a small restaurant, but we hit the timing just right and found a table right away. There was a bit of a line by the time we left, but a wait here would be worth it! I would definitely recommend Punxy Pizza! We had such a fun, memorable, unforgettable, weekend in Punxsutawney!

The person behind the counter asked if we were locals and an older lady snarled that we weren't. We are fully capable of speaking for ourselves. There were 3 of us and a baby and the area where you older only had seating for 2. We asked about the adjoining dining space, but were told it was rental only. We had to take our order to go since there was no space for us. We ate at the nearby park and that was lovely. We got a cheese pizza and cheeseburger pizza. The cheeseburger pizza was gross. The crust was good, but it had so much ground beef and tomato sauce you couldn't taste anything else. There was so much sauce and meat and so little cheese that everything fell off trying to take a bite.

Not only was the pizza delicious, but the extensive local beer selection was appreciated. We sat in the back room, which was nice for our group of six. We will return when in the area again!
