Public House

The Fig and Bacon flatbread was so delicious! Wow the PB&J Burger was amazing and the Public house burger!!! Their house made chips with the two dipping sauces was a great side. Definitely coming back to this place!!!

Made a day trip up to Michigan with my friend and my husband. Had an excellent experience. The location is perfect, was close by everything else we were doing. The restaurant is beautiful, it feels like a very upscale place with nice dim lighting and a not too loud atmosphere. The house chips and sandwiches were great as it was but I was blown away by the mac and cheese. I could write an essay about the mac and cheese, it was so unbelievably delicious. The sauce is velvety smooth and the spicy version had just the perfect amount of heat with little bits and pieces of peppers in it. I truly will be coming back any time we’re in Michigan for the mac and cheese alone.

Stopped on a Wednesday for lunch it was pretty busy when we arrived. Lots of people in this downtown area for a weekday so I wouldnt come here if you have time constraints. Cassandra provided GREAT service for being sat 4-5 new tables at once. She was very nice & had recommendations when we had questions. This place is a little pricey but you can tell the quality of the food is higher as well. Everything was delicious besides we thought the grilled cheese could have been more melted & crispy. As a restaurant manager myself I would have liked to see a little more teamwork on the floor especially when one server is getting sat multiple times in a row, someone else could at least get drinks to help out, plenty of other workers werent busy during our visit. Couldn't have been more pleased having lunch here for our first time! It was difficult deciding what to order because everything looked so amazing, on menu and other plates around us! My husband and I didn't have 1 thing in our meals that wasn't delicious! We usually have at least 1 thing where we think, eh it could have been a little more or a little less of "x". But that was not the case here. The wait staff was amazing, old school customer service. And the owner comes around personally to each table to thank his guests for patronizing his restaurant. We were so impressed all around! We live 1.5hr away, and we will definitely return!

Public House is a nice cozy spot to get a great dinner. I've tried many things on the menu from chicken & waffles to the cherry burger and PB and j burger. Everything has been top notice. Tonight I went with the festive apple burger and it did not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and drop by Public House and enjoy this place for all it has!
