Fantastic food. I had the fried pork chop. Very well done. Tons of flavor, very juicy delicious. It was a very large serving. Great. I had the black-eyed peas. I'm pretty sure they were crowder peas or some other type of field pea. They were delicious but they were not black-eyed peas like I am use to. It was a very good serving. I had the greens but they were a little salty. I told the chef not to berate the food but just to remind him to double check the seasoning. I thought they were very salty. They also had green peas, macaroni, green beans, and maybe more. The corn pone was also very good. Will definitely return for some different meat items.

The food was very good and so was the service. I didn't eat in, but they had tables available. It looked like they were maybe in the middle of rearranging or something.

Stopped for a quick lunch. Friendly service with home made style food.

★★★★★ 5.0 Catilin Everitt · Dec 2023

Very friendly service, amazing food. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I got the ribs, mashed potatoes with gravy and Mac and cheese. Ribs are well smoked don't even need dipping sauce and the potatoes are perfect. Mac and cheese is super creamy. 10/10

Food tasted old, got a serving of pinto beans and they weren't fully cooked, was still kinda hard, greens was a bit salty to me, corn cakes tasted as if it was cooked in old oil. Just wasn't appealing to me as a soul food place. Maybe if I try again at another time, it'll be better.
