As a small business owner, Tea Time Now and customer, I find purchasing from Potomac Sweets easy and delicious. I often order for my tea parties and I always get great reviews of the pastries The chocolatier, Gerard, always comes through with some delicious strawberry dipped in chocolates for my events. Excellent all the way around🫖

If heaven had a bakery, this would be it. And I’m not just saying that because I blacked out from sugar overload and briefly saw a light. Potomac Sweets is a treasure trove of baked beauty, nestled quietly in a corner that clearly doesn't shout, "HERE LIES PERFECTION"—but it absolutely should. I stumbled in thinking I might grab a cookie or two. I left with three bags, a cupcake, a box of éclairs, and the early signs of a joyful sugar addiction. No regrets. Let’s talk cookies first, because these folks don’t play around. There’s a wall—yes, an actual wall—of lovingly packaged Potomac Sweets cookies that looks like a cookie-themed episode of “Hoarders,” but in a good way. Stopped in for a few cupcakes and cookies. In retrospect I really wish I'd have just gone to Safeway or even 7-11 as either would have definitely been selling fresher sweets. It was my only time visiting the store and I quickly noticed a lot of the cookies were crumbling in their packaging. My gut feeling was that maybe I should just go somewhere else but, unfortunately I didn't. The person who helped me was totally nice, by the way. And I don't like writing a bad review but this place really deserves a honest assessment which is all I'm saying.

I've been going to Potomac Sweets at least twice a week for over five years and have never - ever - had a negative customer service experience. In fact, quite to the contrary. The staff who work there are always attentive, informative, pleasant, and accommodating of any questions I have. I'm also mindful that it is a small team, and they have many tasks to perform each day. The owner, Gerard, is kind and engaging as well - always quick to inquire about your wellbeing - and clearly committed to high quality products served in a warm and inviting atmosphere. This morning I dropped my SUV off at the Kensington Service Center and was going to walk to one of my favorite coffee shops about 4 blocks away. I crossed the street and then said, “Wait a minute.” I’m in this nice quaint town, sort of a peaceful, old town feel….let me try something new today. So i scanned the neighborhood and caught sight of Potomac Sweets. I stepped in and was overwhelmed with the variety. I am sort of particular about my treats. I started looking at labels to see if there were a lot of artificial colors and flavors. I talked to the young lady at the counter and asked what are the most popular items. I started forming my order in my head. I was going to buy about (4) pastries and maybe a bag of donuts. Soon as I was about to make my order, I hear a voice coming
