Portsmouth Health Department

I'm from Philadelphia and I've been to free clinics before but never like this. They were down to earth friendly and non-judgmental. They were very thorough also. I might have unprotected sex just to go back lol sike.

The people in the Portsmouth Health Dept. that came in contact with were all friendly, helpful, and talked clearly and acted professionally. My telephone contacts with Shaneka were always productive, friendly, and professional. She truly is a credit to the organization and seems to sincerely help you. Keshira in the office and billing was a delight and very helpful. Also, Melanie was very informative and made me feel relaxed before giving me the yellow fever vaccine shot. I didn't even feel it. She is a pro. Great job. All staff has a sense of humor which I really like because I love to joke when I'm nervous. Thank you.

The staff are polite, professional & prompt. Services are rendered quickly and the offices and wait area are clean. I have always been treated with respect & kindly each visit. The practitioner is personable, well versed and informative & the phlebotomist is always gentle. Portsmouth Health department has a staff they can be proud of with that team. Thank you for what you do in our community!

I had a great experience at the vital records department with Ms. Sarah as she assisted me with a birth certificate and Ms. Dereka helped my husband obtain his certificate from another state. They both were very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. A1 customer service from both of these ladies.

The worker I encountered was very incompetent. As many would know, Walgreens provides Hep B shots and most of the time does not hand over the medical records, thus they request the clinic to call them for confirmation of the shot. Well, unfortunately, this clinic has some ignorant workers who apparently don't want to put an effort to do their job. Want to talk to someone higher up? Nope. The worker will bitchily announce that "I'm who you talk to. I'll give your papers to I the inspector." ...so apparently, she doesn't have a boss. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED HUMANELY!! They scoff at every polite question and even when you wait patiently for 2 hours, the worker at the desk gruffly says, "What is it? Why you here?" instead of professionally saying "Hi, may I help you?" Ignoran
